SPACE (Student Passport And Character Education) launches students as Astros, young heroes tasked with restoring harmony to planets thrown off balance. Every day, Astros track their behavior progress using colorful game board maps tucked inside their Suitcase Portal. As they demonstrate key behaviors, they move along the path, unlock Side Missions, earn badges, and collect Level Certificates on their way to becoming champions of the cosmos.

SPACE gamifies the evidence-based Check-In Check-Out (CICO) intervention, which already shows an 80% success rate in supporting students with behavior goals. By embedding this system into a full narrative experience, students are more motivated, more consistent, and more connected to their growth.
The SPACE Game is built around 4 Core Components, with Check-In and Check-Out forming the foundation of daily student engagement:
Embark on thrilling adventures across three unique worlds, each with its own challenges and mysteries to solve.
Octavia the octopus is stealing colors and draining the planet's magic. Astros must search the deep for 5 hidden Color Gems to stop her and restore the wonder of Aquatica.
Buggy the raptor is lost in a maze of hungry predators. Astros must locate him and guide him safely home before it's too late.
Ancient beasts are destroying Dante's home, throwing the world into fiery chaos. Astros must uncover 5 Elemental Keys to bring balance and rebuild what's been lost.
When Astros need a little boost, they turn to Side Mission Cards.

Side Mission Cards (SMCs) are bonus behavior challenges designed to help students show prosocial skills, especially on tough days. Each card is tied to one of five core values included in the Starter Pack:
Whether it's helping a classmate, taking a mindful breath, or naming an emotion, every Side Mission gives students a practical way to grow. When they complete a card, they earn a badge and gain an alternate way to move forward on their map, even if their day didn't go as planned.
